10月15日 Prayer request for Sis. Rebekah SmithPlease remember Sis. Rebekah Smith in your prayers as she continues to battle cancer. We know there is nothing too hard for our Lord Jesus to do for our sister. Here are some recent reports from her family concerning her condition. (Click on her name for more details)
*NEW* Wednesday, October 18 - After her operation last week, Sister Rebekah was not doing well at all; she was incoherent and in a lot of pain. Many prayers were made over the weekend, and Sunday she made a remarkable improvement. She sat up in the bed and asked for something to eat. All of the confusion was gone and she was a completely different person. They have had her on a morphine pump, limiting the dose to every 6 minutes. On Saturday she was pushing the button constantly, on Sunday she pushed the button 3 times. The doctors have been able to remove the pump, and are simply amazed at the change in her condition. Fortunately, she has no memory of the previous 2 weeks, and she is in a very positive mood and believing for her healing. Today they released her from the hospital to a small hospice facility, and from there she will be going home soon, to be cared for by family and home hospice care. Her condition is still very serious, but right now we are thanking the Lord for the difference that prayer has made in the last 3 days, and we thank you for continuing to pray.
Saturday, October 14 - Just to follow up, Sister Rebekah underwent the second half of her surgery yesterday, and the doctors were pleased with the results. Her leg bone has been secured using a rod, and she was resting last night fairly comfortably.
Thursday evening, October 12 - Since our last update there have been several setbacks in Sister Rebekah’s condition. Late Wednesday night she was being moved in the hospital when she suffered a fracture of the leg bone in the area where it had been weakened by the cancer. This of course caused quite a bit of new pain, and forced the doctors to re-evaluate their earlier decision not to operate. The leg will have to be stabilized, and the first part of that operation has already been preformed tonight, when the surgeon was able to cut off blood flow to the tumor and prepare her leg to be braced. Beginning at 7:30 in the morning, a follow-up procedure will secure her leg bone using a metal rod. Basically, the broken bone has forced the doctors to perform part of the same surgery that they felt was too risky to pursue yesterday. 10月13日 Revival Meetings September 2006A September to Remember

We just finished our 2 weeks of revival meetings here in Anderson, South Carolina. I must say that every expectation of my heart were met during these services. We witnessed the outpouring of the Holy Ghost in a special way. Many young people were filled with the Holy Spirt while others received a refilling. I would like to thank each and every minister that came and preached in the meetings for us and I also would like to thank those that supported the meetings with their prayers and presence. I'm sure we'll continue to see the results of these meetings in the months and years to come. I thank each one of you for your sacrifices. On October 1st, after Sunday morning's service, I baptized Bro. Joshua Corns in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. He attended our Revival Meetings and wanted to commit his life to our Lord Jesus. May our Heavenly Father bless him and guide him each and every day and may he always live for Him.
