No more pain or sorrows there...

    Daniel Larry Daisley

    1938-2007

"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

    [Psalm 91:1-2]

Pastor Luke Gibson and the congregation of The Tabernacle of the Lord, wishes to extend their heartfelt sympathies to the Daisley family and the believers at Bible Tabernacle Church in Rutherfordton, NC.  Pastor Daisley fought a courageous battle against bone cancer and we know that he is now free from pain and the cares of this life.  We ask that your remember the congregation and his family in prayer.

    Rest for A Galant Soldier

    A. Gerald Carver

    November 07, 1934 - October 23, 2007

"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

    [2 Corinthians 5:8]

On Tuesday night the Lord took our beloved Bro. Gerald Carver home.  He was a wonderful man who was admired and greatly respected.  His sudden loss has left all those who loved him in deep grief.  We are consoled with the knowledge that he is in heaven, free from all the sorrows and cares of this life.  We know we will see him again, as he died with the assurance that those who die in the Lord will one day raise again.  To me he was more than a trustee and songleader in the church, he was my closest friend and I look forward to the day when we shall meet to part no more.  He lived for the Lord and his life and testimony will always be an encouragment to us.  We covet your prayers during this time and we ask that you remember his dear wife, Sis. Paula and his sons, Allan and Michael.

The fellowship gathering that was scheduled for this Friday has been changed to Saturday afternoon, following the funeral.

    God Bless You,

    Pastor Luke Gibson

    "It's been worth every mile,

    It's been worth every trial

It's been worth every valley we have crossed.

    It's been worth every thing,

That we've faced in His dear name.

And it'll be worth it all when we see His face"

Dedication of Grace Hodges & Jayda Dickerson

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
    Psalm 127:3

A few weeks ago we dedicated Sis. Grace Hope Hodges to the Lord Jesus Christ.  She joins her brothers Jonathan and Elijah.  We pray that the Lord grant her parents, Bro. Barry and Sis. Hope, wisdom to train her in the path of the righteous. May our Lord Jesus protect and guide her.

On Sunday October 14, 2007, we dedicated Sis. Jayda Symone Dickerson.  She is the first child of Bro. Trandon and Sis. Candy.  May she grow in the admonition and fear of the Lord.  We pray that she grows to be a shining example of the gospel in this dark world.  May our Lord continue to guide Bro Trandon and Sis. Candy.

May the Holy Ghost put a hedge of protection around Sis. Grace and Sis. Jada, and may they always live for Him.

God Bless these babies and their families,

    Pastor Luke Gibson

    Enter into His Rest

    Marjorie M. Foushi

    1922 - 2007

"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

    [2 Corinthians 5:8]

On Friday October 5 at 12:15 pm, our dear Sis. Marj, known as Aunt Marj to all, left this earthly life and entered into eternal life.  She went with the guarantee that she will one day rise again.  Sis. Marj was a great woman of faith whose life was a testimony to all who came into contact with her.  She attended many of the Prophet's services and what she witnessed during these services changed her life forever.

We thank the Lord for giving us the opportunity to know Aunt Marj, and we look forward to that day when we will see her again.  May God rest her galant soul.

Funeral services will be held on Monday October, 8, 2007 at Wheeler Funeral Home in Covington, Georgia at 2:00 p.m.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."

    [John 5:24]

Baptism of Bro. David, Sis. Kelsey & Bro. Michael

Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.
    ACTS 2:38-39

On September 16, 2007, the last day of our Revival Meetings, I baptized my brother, David Gibson, Sis. Kelsey Thatcher & Bro. Michael Holder in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.  May our Heavenly Father bless and guide them and may their lives be a witness for Him.

    God Bless You,
    Pastor Luke Gibson
