December 09 Resting safely in the Father's armsBro. Daniel Bermudez
Gone home - December 8, 2006
Bro. Eucario Bermudez
We ask that you please remember Pastor Eucario Bermudez of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico and his family at this time. This morning I received the sad news that Bro. Eucario and his two sons were shot yesterday. His sons Daniel and Mario died and Bro. Eucario remains in critical condition. His son Daniel Bermudez was a wonderful child of God and we are thankful that we had the priviledge of getting to know him on this side of heaven. He touched our hearts and we look forward to seeing him some glorious morning when there will be no more partings or tears. Myself and Sis. Lisa will be leaving for Nogales tonight as Bro. Daniel's and his brother's funeral is tomorrow. We covet your prayers for the entire Bermudez family and all the brothers and sisters who grieve at their passing. Bro. Daniel had a wife and small children and we ask that you remember them in your prayers. Please continue to remember Bro. Eucario that he has a speedy recovery and may the Lord Jesus comfort his sorrowing heart. Below is an email I received from Pastor Francisco Olguin regarding the incident:
DEAR BROTHER LUKE:
Greetings in the Name of Jesus. Just to ask of your prayers for Brother Bermudez, his familiy and church. Yesterday Friday December 8, Brother Eucario Bermudez was hunting up in the mountains along with some other brothers of his church, and they met some drug traffickers, who shot Brother Daniel Bermudez (mariachi singer), son of Brother Eucario and he died. Also these men shot Mario Bermudez (another son of Brother Bermudez), and also he died. Brother Eucario Bermudez also was shot and went through a surgery and he's delicate but stable. This Saturday Brother Roberto Ochoa, Brother Ricardo Sánchez (co-pastor) and myself we'll be flying to Nogales to assist them. Pray for all of us. God bless you richly. Bro. Francisco Olguin. Please remember them in your prayer,
Pastor Luke Gibson
